As we commemorate the 61st anniversary of Bloody Sunday, we gather not only to remember the courage of those who marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, but to reflect on what their legacy means today.

Beyond the Bridge: Civil Rights Then & Now is a facilitated, member-only conversation focused on the intersectionality of civil rights and the continued fight for voting access and equity. Together, we will discuss how historic struggles connect to present-day challenges, and how we, can carry this work forward with intention, unity, and care.

This event is designed to:

  • Hold space for education and reflection

  • Deepen understanding of how civil rights movements intersect across communities

  • Center collective responsibility rather than division

  • Encourage thoughtful, sustainable civic engagement

We invite you to join us in honoring the past while grounding ourselves in the ongoing work of protecting and advancing civil rights.
