The LLEAD Certification Program was developed by the National Leadership Development and Standards Committee to further enhance our members' leadership skills related to cultural sensitivity, diversity, and inclusion.

LLEAD Cohort 11 Certification Program 2024

Program Goals

  • To strengthen skills and awareness through the lens of identity, diversity, inclusion, and advocacy as a sorority, campus, community, and professional leader.
  • To understand how identities, viewpoints, expectations and influences affect interactions with others.
  • To actively create and promote supportive environments within the sisterhood in our pursuit to embrace diversity.
  • To utilize skills and knowledge of diversity and inclusion to create social movements and social change.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Active Undergraduate and alumnae members are eligible to apply.
  • Complete approximately 16 program hours through a series of mandatory webinar workshops and activities, including group discussions with LLEAD Ambassadors, applied leadership and experimental projects
  • Projects will be approved by the LLEAD Certification Panel consisting of members of the NLDS and Board of Directors.
  • Participants are expected to attend ALL sessions as well as complete the applied leadership project.
  • If you miss a session or do not complete the applied leadership project, you will be removed from the current active cohort.

Call for LLEAD Facilitator for Cohort 11

The National Leadership Development and Standards Committee is accepting applications from members and non members interested in serving as the Facilitator for the 2024 Lambda Ladies as Empowered Advocates for Diversity (LLEAD) certificate program.

In collaboration with the National Leadership Development and Standards LLEAD Subcommittee, the LLEAD Facilitator will help coordinate, recruit and assist in the implementation of the program this year. We strongly encourage active alumnae who have earned the LLEAD certification to apply.

Objectives

  • To promote the benefits of participating in the LLEAD program
  • To actively recruit presenters who are subject matter expert in topics covered in the LLEAD curriculum or present topics covered in the curriculum
  • To establish safe environments for participants to engage in group discussions related to cultural sensitivity, diversity and multicultural understanding

Benefits

  • Expand understanding of LLEAD curriculum by serving as a mentor to cohort participants
  • Strengthen resume with experience in diversity training and multicultural understanding
  • A stipend will be provided upon completion of the LLEAD program

Requirements

  • Must be available to attend biweekly meetings with the National Leadership Development and Standards LLEAD Subcommittee
  • Must be available to attend LLEAD orientation and bimonthly sessions
  • Must submit a letter of intent to the NLDS Chair describing experience and what you can bring to the program
  • Must submit a professional and/or LTA resume (if applicable)
